Both your GPA and SAT are just a bit below average for UMich admission. You should be a high match for LSA and high match to low reach for CoE.

For UC Berkeley, everything is about grades. I’m applying there too and have a 3.7 UW/2300 and am looking at it as a safety.

Just work on your Reading section–try to get >2250 and you should be fine!

UMichigan is a complete crapshoot these days, so I can’t say anything.

Chance me back?

For the admitted class of 2010, the middle 50th percentile ranges for the ACT was 28-32 and the SAT was 1960-2200. Please note, however, that no test score or GPA will guarantee admission, and that the student’s entire application package is taken into consideration when making admissions decisions. -From UMich Website

2130 is about 66th percentile. Assuming that this is true, is this good enough? And what do you mean by high match to low reach?

As a safety? Man, Berkeley is my no. 1 choice. Dude, you belong in Ivy League, go away, haha

Berkeley average SAT is around 2040 which is what their website says

so I’m like hoping to get in so hopefully if I don’t improve that much on the SAT, I can still get in

Why are you posting so much outdated stat for UMich? The 2013 admission stat is out and the average GPA is 3.85. Mid 50 ACT is 29-33 (same as 2012), while mid 50 SAT is 2030-2250 (20-40 higher than 2012). The overall acceptance rate was 33%. UMich put a lot of weight on GPA and class rank.
These stats are for UMich overall, for engineering, the average GPA should be around 3.9 (as 2012), and 1-2 points higher for ACT, ~100 points higher for SAT.
