Chances at uc riverside and others...

HI!

So im a senior, Currently attending a really academically challenging public school with one of the top API scores in the nation. It's in northern cal, silicon valley, bay area.

I really messed up my Junior year really bad, and because of my D in Pre-calc Honors for both semesters, My GPA suffered badly. But i have made up both of them and got A's bumping up my gpa more.... But ofcourse the D is still ginna be there :/

However, I love ucR and I feel like I'll really fit in there if my grades allow me, so what are the chances of getting into it for biology with....

UW GPA: 3.3

W GPA: 3.5

SAT: 1820

APBIO was my only AP :/

But yea, disappointed with high school, but Just hoping something works out :/

I really want an honest truth. The thing is. I KNOW its a reach school, since my schools own probability charts and any other website has given me an 80 or above in my chances, and i can feel my heart settling on it, so i need brutal truth on whether i can really count on me going there.

Some other schools im applying to are
Uc santa cruz
Uc irvine
Csulb
Sdsu
Purdue
.... So on

Would hella appreciate answers! like forever! Thank You!

UCSC - high match
Irvine - reach
Riverside - match
CSULB - match
SDSU - high match
Purdue - match

How is Riverside a reach if websites claim an 80 percent chance of acceptance. I personally think you have a good chance at Riverside. Do try to raise your SATs though, since even a slight boost will help.

Oh lol! Sorry! I meant a ‘match’ not reach! My bad!!! Thank u sooooooo much for the input!!!
Another question though, is there a uc ranked above santa cruz that shud try applying to instead of irvine since i see that its a reach school? Is there somethings else that is better at applying to???

Thanks again!!!

Applying to more campuses is as easy as checking some boxes. You could try all three of the mid tier schools. Anything above would probably be a waste of money.

Uc santa cruz: low reach
Uc irvine: reach
Csulb: match
Sdsu: high match
Purdue: low reach
UCR: match
