<p>Preferably UCSD or UCSB?
Also, how much should I improve my score for these schools?</p>

<p>I'm a junior in high school.
GPA Unweighted: ~3.8 Weighted: 4.08
(Not counting this semester)
SAT: 1820
ACT: 25
My school: Gold medal high school (ranked somewhere in the 400s)</p>

<p>ECs:
-NHS and CSF
-President of a club next year for special ed kids
-I volunteer at my local community center (which is offering me a job)
-Swam on JV for 2 years and did club swim for 3 years
-Few other clubs
-I might do an internship this summer</p>

<p>I don’t know a lot about the UCs, but your candidacy could probably be improved by increasing your SAT or ACT score to a 2000/28 or so, and do the job or internship! Good luck!</p>

<p>It depends on your major. I have friends who got in as Biology with 4.0 and 1800 on SAT. I have other friends who didnt get in as Computer Science with 4.17 and 2000 on SAT. Admissions are very dependent on your major</p>
