Chances for UCSB, UCLA, UCSD or any other UC's?

You can help us by computing your UC GPA. Here's the link that tells you how to do this. (also, when computing this, be sure to cap your honors at 8 semester courses--meaning, only add in 8 extra grade points even if you took 12 semester hours, or 6 year-long, honors/AP/IB courses). Also, don't count freshman grades or senior grades--just count sophomore and junior years.

thats comforting to know, but just wondering...what do u think in my list will most likely get me into a great school like UCLA? the gpa..sat..or was it just the list overall, flopsy?

Hi, I actually I know a guy who is an admissions councelor. I can tell you what he told me and if you have any other questions I will try and answer it to the best of my ability. They look at your stats mostly. If your GPA isn't atleast a 3.4 or above, then they don't even look at your transcript. So your SAT's and your GPA have to be really really good. Now when they are in a situation in which they are comparing two people, then being in clubs and orginizations, and things like that, that is when it comes in handy. They're not really looking for bumbs who sit on their butts all day. I think you have a good shot at those schools but I still think you need to think about what you ultimately want to do, I am not sure if you had mentioned it in your proposal but MAKE SURE you know what you want to do and what the strengths of each college has. You may ask me any questions if you like. I can talk to my contact their as well.

You have a good chance at UCSB and UCLA all depends really, I know that you have good stats but you never know you have a good chance though. What is wrong with Berkley though I am not sure why you didnt put that on ur top priorities. Then again I am not sure what you want to do. Let me know so I can help you some more. Because all of the admissions councelors are connected to the other schools in some way. Good Luck.

Im not sure how you computed a 4.3 UW GPA, that sounds impossible to me. If you have a 4.3 UC GPA and 2200 SAT, then you should be in at all three. UCLA and UCSD are more selective than UCSB. Here is a link to their 2007 admit stats.
