Class Rank : 1/660 (cut off is 4.8 GPA) (Average school ACT is 27)</p>

ACT: 33 (retaking in Oct, hoping for a 34+, but I am pretty satisfied with my 33)</p>

FBLA: 2 year member (Vice President Senior Year)
Basketball : 4 years, Varsity 2 years, Captain Senior Year
Science Club, Member for 2 years
NJHS, can't remember other middle school stuff, probably does not matter anyway
NHS President's Award and Outstanding Service in My Community Award</p>

<p>Last Year I was in 4 AP classes: Language and Comp (3), Calc BC (2 year), Chem (4), and APUSHIST (5), the rest of my classes are honors and required classes
This year: 5 AP Euro Hist, Lit, Govt, Physics, and Calc (plus student aide is my sixth class, hey I need a break too)
Only 3 years of Spanish</p>

<p>Chances at UCB (OOS), UCLA (OOS), USC (scholarships?), and Stanford. I am already applying to MIT EA for reasons other than academics.</p>

<p>I'd say that all three schools sound likes a slight-mid reach. I like your EC alot. Hell i'd take you if i had a tier-one college.</p>

<p>You're a great candidate, but not outstanding (I hate to sound like an @$$hole)
I'm mainly basing that on your ECs, but your numbers are amazing and your stats are still pretty good.</p>

<p>MIT: Reach (I base this on the low acceptance rate, even EA)
Stanford: Reach (I base this on the remarkably low acceptance rate).
UCB/UCLA OOS: Slight Reach/Reach (I base this on your great GPA)
USC: Slight reach/Match (I think you'll get into USC no problem, but it's acceptance rate is around 25% so I throw in 'slight').</p>

<p>I'm just an HS senior, not an adcom, so feel free to disagree/scrutinize my assessment.</p>

<p>Bump it up... (By the way, for those who say about ECs, I do 4-6 hours of basketball related stuff per day (our team was nationally ranked last year at one point) so I really do not find much time to do all the other bulls*** activities)</p>
