I have hearing loss in left ear and its affected me ever since I have been a kid, but i have fought through it. wrote my open ended uc essay on that and how ive played violin even though ive lose some hearing.

im very strong in math and am going into uc's in undeclared physical science and in usc as undeclared engineering

chances at cal, stanford, usc, ucla, uc davis, ucsb, ucsd????????

Your verbal score will probably hurt you when it comes to Stanford and maybe the USC-level. Do any of those schools accept Jan SAT scores? If not, I'd brush up and try to find a standby test on Dec 5th.

Your AP scores may help you from sliding down too much, but I'd still retest if possible.

i am really strong in math and science and i am applying to usc for engineering and the uc's i am going in letters and sciences undeclared and want to major in mathematics or applied mathematics. so i dont think the verbal score will hurt too much if im headed in the other direction,

A great essay will, of course, give you a nice boost, as will good recommendations. I don't believe your hearing really will have a large effect, unless you can explain how it has affected your schooling in your essays.

I wish you the best of luck. Honestly, everything about you lines up besides that verbal score, so I'd look into retesting. I think sparknotes.com has some free SAT stuff you can read on the web. I would strongly recommend checking that out and trying to take a standby if possible.

UCLA I'd say you'd be a strong enough candidate regardless of that one score, but that one thing makes USC a reach and Stanford a far reach.

i got a id and password in the mail and used the elc login, but i dont think i got it. my grade level in my high school is so smart. i think its the smartest class in the history of the school. anyway if i dont get it, its kinda stupid cuz a 4.04 might be good enough at other schools

UCSD seems like the only match right now. The lower UC's are safties. The higher ones are slight reaches. Stanford is out there. You said you go to a school with a 900 API!?! I'm going to take a guess and say your class rank is not too hot even with a 3.88 UW because it seems like your school would be very competitive.
