Chances at UCSB?

UC GPA: 3.84
SAT I: 1970
Bio M: 760 Lit: 640
lots of honors, some AP's, california resident
anyone got some idea of my chances this year?

i’d say you have a good shot but that low gpa is really gonna hold u back

3.84 isn’t that low…3.9 was the avg uc gpa for last years’ admits

Average GPA for UCSB admits last year was 4.01, which means half of the admits had a GPA HIGHER than that. However, you still have a pretty good shot, just wait it out until decision day! :)

According to UCSB, the average UC GPA or admitted applicants was a 3.9, so I agree that the original poster’s GPA is not very low at all. SAT scores are a bit better than average, although not by more than 100 points or so. I’d say you have a decent shot. Good ECs or essays can bump you up into acceptance.

I believe you have a good chance at UCSB :).

thanks everyone, I guess I’m right on the line.
damn! I hate waiting!

Weird, this website says 4.01.

Whatever it is, you are pretty close, so good luck!
