I’m a rising senior and was hoping to get some insight on my chances at the following schools, I am OOS for all:
-University of Michigan
-UVA
-UW Madison
-Wake Forest
-UT
ACT: 32
GPA: UW: 3.8ish W:4.1
I attend an extremely challenging public high school in NJ
-Tennis since Freshman year, captain
-Teacher of ESL
-Tons of community service
-Tutor
-Tennis Instructor
-NHS
Also, just to provide some more insight, I’ve taken all honors and AP classes since freshman year. Total of 6 AP classes thus far and am taking 6 more AP’s senior year.
@jjrrdd The best predictor is to look at your own school’s track record at each of these colleges for at least five years (do you have Naviance?). No matter what anyone says, you will first be judged against others from your hs and then from your region. In any case, off the top of my head, I know nothing about UT. For WF, if you apply super-early ED, you’ll probably be good. For the remaining three, just based on your numbers, it’ll be uphill unless you have some stand-out academic stats like (just for example) total fluency in a language related to your major; multivar and/or linear algebra; dual-enrollment classes, etc.
