Chances at unc

my situation is really different.

I use to live in California and go to an extremely competitive school. That school did not offer that many honors, and AP's were only for juniors/seniors. So my GPA there was 3.4 UW and W and my class rank was like top 10% and it was 700 kids. Then i moved after soph year to NC and my school here has such high grade INFLATION. like freshman have 4.6's. so when i got here my class rank was like bottom 50% of my class. this is because honors classes are 1 extra grade point and AP's are two and people here take so many honors and AP's b/c they offer so many. So in my junior year i got my gpa up to 3.9 W and 3.56 uw. and im still 50% class rank. this makes me mad because i think i should be ranked higher and it makes me look dumb compared to kids at my new school. its not my fault. and my ACT score is really good. so will UNC look that i moved in the middle of HS from a harder to a easier school? and take in account that my class rank is not correct? UNC takes 75% from top 10% of their class.

Not entirely sure with the whole process, but I think that since you moved you’d have to send a transcript from your old school and from your new one? That might reflect some of the differences that are causing you worry, but I’m not sure. I’d ask your counselor about it.
