Chances At University of Michigan

I am a junior at an academically well known school in Massachusetts and I'm planning on applying really early to Michigan. I have a 3.44 unweighted GPA with two honors courses this year. I haven't gotten my SAT score back yet, but I'm guessing that I got around a 2050. My school doesn't do class rank or anything like that. For extra curriculars, I will be the sports editor for the newspaper for two years and I will play football my senior year.

Hmm...
GPA 3.44
SAT 2050
EC's-
Sports Editor
Football

Do you have any other EC's?
if not then U Michigan is a Low Reach.

my english teacher submitted a poem that i wrote for her class and it was a finalist in a competition. i don't know if that's really an EC.

UMich is a reach. That poem would go under 'awards/honors.' Overall, you have a weak GPA, weak honors/awards, almost no significant extracurriculars, and a somewhat average SAT score.

Lehar all I have to say is no one here can honestly and realistically gauge whether or not you will be accepted to a university. A school like Michigan looks at your application as a whole more than just the numbers. Put as much effort as you can into all of your essays and make sure yor recs. are good. I know for a fact that that's what got me in. I know I didn't have the "godly" stats of the people on here.
