Do I have any chance at University of Rochester? Also, it would be gladly appreciated if you could suggest solid safety, and match schools. Thank you for your help!

Any chance for merit aid (scholarship) at Rochester?

i kinda doubt it, you have some pretty low stats...good luck tho, make sure yuou do well on your essays

woh.

Wait. I think you can probobly get some merit aid at Rochester. I have the kodak scholarship (8000 per year) and I had a GPA around...well translated it would be closer to 3.5...but we were on a 100% scale so...92.3.

You're probobly eligible for one or two of the smaller ones, none of the bigger scholarships that are running around.

have fun with that thought.....knowing how...prrottecctive u of r is with their scholarship money, i'll say you'll get some decent need based if needed, and they'll slap on a 2k merit -based scholarship somewhere. above 5k tho i sincerely doubt it, at least for your first year...if you do well in school tho it changes things from there.

I dunno about UR being overprotective with their scholarship $$$. I sent in a appeal letter and they raised my IB scholarship to 10K a year, plus some grant money.

I think you have a good chance... I had way less than you in just about every aspect.. i had an 1860 on the SAT and a 3.58 high school gpa and i got a 10k scholarship... the one thing that probably helped me was that I was a national hispanic scholar... but you have a much better application than I could have ever hoped for. There is hope yet!

yeah, i had less stats than u man, but i also applied ed2, as far as money goes, i got a good amount of need-based aid...even though my family's like middle class(not upper or lower, just in the middle)...so i got the rochester grant which was like 21-2200 itself...and then all the other junk they add so my aid package came out to be about 31k out of the 45...the corporate awards are given out in junior year arent' they?
