My name is Brendan Jackson and I have already been accepted into West Point SLS, and have applied to USNA summer seminar

I have also done history day and made 2 sucesfull documentaries. YouTube - Iwo Jima: A Stepping Stone to Victory (8th grade: Honorable mention in state and topical award winner) YouTube - Jay C Hormel (9th grade: 4th in state).
I live in Minnesota (geographically diverse) but I am a white male from an above average suburban family.
My Grandfather was a marine private in WWII. He was in the 4th marine division and made 5 or 6 amphibious assaults including Iwo Jima
I am planning on applying to West Point and the Naval Academy. If I am not accepted to either i plan on doing RPTC or just enlisting to defend my country. Anything else i can do to help myself get appointed?

Brendan there is no way anyone can tell you if you will be appointed. Just no way. Will you be scholastically qualified for the academy, the answer will likely be yes. Although, you should get your math score higher to be honest with you. White males need high math scores, if they are not recruited athletes. This is not in stone but it tends to be a big push in you favor.

Will you get a nomination? Don’t know.
Will you pass the Medical? Don’t know.
Will you pass the PRT? Don’t know.
Will you have the top Whole Person Score once you manage to climb all these hurdles? Don’t know.

There are many fine men and women right now getting ready to get a TWE with just as good or better scores and qualifications than you have listed. My dd maybe one of them so I understand the process. It is a long road to appointment. I would never ever tell you not to try to get an appointment. You need many back up plans. One of them should not be to enlist and this is why I even posted. You have too much to give to this country not to try for something more.

Thanks for the help,
I am planning to get the math score up next time I take the ACT. I am also trying to get more extracurriculars into my busy schedule.
