Chances at WashU, Top Schools

<p>Chance Me at these Schools... </p>

<p>In Order of Interest: WashU, UPenn, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Emory, Vandy, UMichigan (Only Safety Cause of Rolling Admissions)
Also applying to HYP as high reaches...</p>

<p>GPA: 4.49
All Honors/APs except English
AP Scores/Ones to Come: Chem:5, Psych:4, History:3, Will take Bio, Calc BC, Physics, Stat.</p>

<p>SAT: 740 CR/ 800 Math/ 740 Writing
SAT II's: 790 Math II/ 710 Chem/ Will take more should get 700+ on at least one of them</p>

<p>EC's
EMT- 120 hour course which dominated my summer. Also I do an overnight shift Monday 6 pm- Tuesday 6 am shift every week since my 17th birthday. I also do the occasional 24 hour shift and some random drills, etc. This is my big EC
Volunteer 2 hrs/week at Local Hospital
Ran Crosscountry 9-11 grade- state ranked 9th grade, got multiple injuries and had to leave it
Ran Winter Track 9-10 grade- same as above
Ran Spring Track 9-10 grade- injured for both seasons but still got varsity
Swam 11 grade- Placed at County Level, Varsity
Captain of Math League</p>

<p>Lastly Im a first generation Hispanic Male whose mom went to college at 30 years old so Im prob going to write my essay about my parents experiences coming to the US and how it shaped my life.
Will apply for fin aid, middle/high income.</p>

<p>Bump… I want to hear some opinions I don’t necessarily need a long explanation.</p>

Cornell- low reach
Johns Hopkins- high fit
Emory- high fit
Vandy- high fit
UMichigan- low fit/ high safety</p>

You are a great candidate for WashU (and Emory, too. I don’t know as much about the other ones). I noticed you listed WashU as your first choice, so I strongly encourage Early Admission. Good luck! :)</p>

<p>Thanks for commenting. I was considering applying E/D to WashU but i heard that if you get in to schools E/D they screw you over with fin aid so I’m probably not now.</p>
