CHANCES at Wharton LBW?

1st, my main question is when they say "rising high school seniors" does this mean that juniors apply to the program or seniors ?? In any case.. if it is in fact juniors that apply to the program then here are my stats:

GPA: 3.5 / 90
SAT: 2110
EC's:
- Varsity Football Captain
- Varsity Spring/Winter Track Captain
- Volunteer at Hospital 100+ Hours
- Church Volunteer since 8th grade :Youth Group Pres., head of altar serving
- Volunteer Work at charity organization
- Student Council BCG Representative
- Clubs: Key Club
- Work Experience: Tutoring since 10th grade

rising high school seniors=current juniors apply.

i'm applying too, but I'm not gonna pretend to know your chances. hopefully we'll both be there in the summer!

haha yeah good luck to you too it seems like a great/fun program.. but do you have any idea around how many kids apply each year ? it seems competitive

i think i read on one of the old lbw threads that about 250 kids apply? Something like that. But yea it seems hard to get into, not like a lot of the summer programs at other colleges.

question though...
i'm still finishing my essay, but I have all the paper forms ready to send out. You think it's weird if I send my paper stuff before officially applying online?

im not even sure im gona talk w/ my guidance counselor tomorrow about it so if anything ill let you know

hii :) i'm applying too. just need to get one last rec in and then mail in my test scores. :X good luckkk!

question...
for the transcript r we supposed to include the grades so far in junior year

and wat r u guys writing about in the essay
im writing about how i saved a kid while lifeguarding

yeah i was wondering what they wanted you to write when they said "short essay".. ill probably just end up talkin aobut high school life and little personal experiences

and yeah im pretty sure you have to include the junior year grades

nice lol
my junior yr grades will pull my gpa up
and i think the word limit is a little too short rt

can anyone chance me? :D i SOOO wanna go. has anyone seen the facebook groups for 07 and 06? looks awesomee.

sat: 2350 superscore
gpa: 4.0 unweighted

extracurriculars:
FBLA: National Membership Committee, Western Region Executive Board <-- wrote about these in my essay, Local Chapter Secretary
Key Club: Treasurer
Tech Museum: volunteer, 8 hrs/month
Tennis

my man you probably dont even need to put in your ECs look at your grades/scores LOL

and yeah angel ive seen those groups.. program looks nice hopefully we all gona get in

i did not do that well on my first sat's but i feel more confident for my march ones

do u guys think they will allow me to email the new scores which come like 3 days after the application is due

i hope so, i'm planning on doing that too...

yeah i was actually thinking about that can anyone find out ? i cant seem to find anything about that

do u think itll be okay my essay is 346 words instead of the 300 word count

have you tried to submit? It might just not take it if it has an online word-counter thing for each of the boxes.

it submits

i just applied today and there was this checkbox about financial aid can anyone tell me more about that?? i feel like by the time it comes in the mail and i send it the deadline will be over already.. and aid is definitely something i need.. wonder if ill qualify for it

oh and is my official test score report (SAT I, SAT II) just a printout of the page on collegeboard.com?? and if so, would i just put that, my transcript and taecher recommendations all in 1 envelope or are teacher recommendations sent seperately by the teachers themselves.

i gave an envolope to my counselar and my teachers so that they can send my recomendations and transcripts; thought it would be easier for them
