Idk for sure, but I live in Virginia, took a tough ap/honors course load, have a 3.6, 1860 on the SAT's and i didn't even bother to apply to William and Mary (because Im sure i won't get in). If you don't get into William and Mary try JMU or VT. I would say its a slight reach, but well within your grasp i believe.

Your numbers are a little low, but your ECs should be good enough for the school. I think two important things to consider are: who else at your school is applying to W&M, and how do to compare to them? Because it is an in-state school, they know the competition level at most high schools. Since you are 26th in your class, unless you go to a super competitive school, it doesn't look good. With a good essay and good recs though, anything's possible! Good luck!

honestly its about more than stats. I know that is said for a lot of schools, but it is truly the case at William and Mary. Just think about what you want to say in your essays, and then figure out a different way to say it. While others numbers may be better than yours, you will get in if you find a way to show them that there are other facets to you than numbers. I would also recommend calls and emails to the office of admissions. They are generally receptive and anything you can do to show them how interested you are in going there is a plus. So after you submit grades, do things like send an update, or ask if there is anything else you can do. I will be at William and Mary in the fall. Transfer C/O '10. Good luck with your application.

It will be tough to be accepted at W&M. Agree with other posters that you have to show them why you really want to go and how you would be an asset to the College. Good Luck.

That may be true for ya'll's schools, but not too many people at my school are applying to William and Mary and when I went to admissions they said that at my school(right outside of C-Ville) they don't look at stats as much at my school....idk my school is pretty stupid and my guidance counselor said they have accepted kids from my school with like 3.4s, but we'll see...I think I have a shot, but I feel it's more of a reach than UVA...

See new post....................Four of us looked at your Stats again today. All William and Mary juniors. I predicted a waitlisted status for you. The others feel like you are an in-stat male and that you will get in. Post your SAT's, please.
