Chances at William and Mary

I think the Nov. 22 thing was online somewhere, not sure though. Yeah I haven't sent out other apps yet either, and I still have lots of work to do on them :(. I feel like W+M is where I belong and have a good feeling about it, but on the other hand I would be willing to bet that I'll be deferred, lol. That would suck, because I still won't know about W+M and will have to do a bunch of extra work.

I sent out a few EA apps. Villanova, BC and Providence and UVM. I'll probably get deferred at BC and I don't really want to go to the other schools. BC is my second choice but I'll probably end up at Villanova with about 8-10 of my classmates. I do plan to send out more apps. maybe, Hopkins and Colgate. Where are you thinking of in case of deferral?

hey ya'll
i applied ED W&M too. i'm instate hispanic girl w/ 690 V 680 M SATs, 4.15 gpa, 15/422 rank, in Hampton Roads and am absolutely dying to know if I got in!!!! I am on the edge of my seat biting my nails!! UGH!!! I read the Nov 22nd thing too it is on the financial aid page. I'm going out of town for break and won't find out if I got my letter until next Saturday so I am about to jump off of a bridge. Well post if ya'll got in!! Good luck, maybe we'll all be at school together! I have to think of my backup apps now!

*Claremont Mckenna (out side of LA, went this summer and had an interview that went well)

and maybe one or two more, but doubt it

melend-

good luck...I bet you'll get in, your SATs are really good and your in-state. I want to kill my parents for not moving to VA, lol. Where do you live in VA? Hopefully we'll all get in, that would be so awesome.

Melend - I hate yooou! LOL Only kidding! You'll get in-your numbers are great and your a URM. No worries girl! I hope drivethrunerdie and I get to see you at freshman orientation!

i live in south-eastern va, only 15-20 min from williamsburg. went there last night to see my pal @ his hs b/c he was in a play. it is so pretty now b/c the leaves are changing. it'll be awesome still hanging around williamsburg b/c it is such an awesome place. i am constantly there esp. Busch being so close. i am dying, i know one other girl at my school who applied ed and she is so calm and i am on the cusp of spontaneous combustion. ugh i bet everyone'll get in and we'll met up and have coffee at the UC.

yeah I love williamsburg. I grew up going there every summer to Colonial williamsburg, busch gardens, etc. I was there in October during homecoming weekend for a fall focus day too. it would be too cool if we all got in, but melend you have such an advantage. gdgrules and I have to hope for a miracle probably lol.

i'm praying for ya'll!!! i need to get some peeps over there b/c none of my friends want to be so close to home. :( losers....

does anyone know if the W+M business program is 2 year where you apply sophmore year or if its a 4 year program, btw good luck to all of ur WM applicants!!

i'm pretty sure that you apply to the business program, but I'm not sure when. I'm planning on majoring in public policy or government though, so I'm probably not the best source of information.

Hey guys...newly registered user, long time visitor.

I applied ED to W&M and was accepted yesterday (in-state) -- the feeling is INSANE. I hope I'll be seeing some of you next fall crosses fingers for everyone.

So. Effing. Excited. Did anyone else find out the day before Thanksgiving? I heard that this has happened in past years as well; applicants finding out waaay before Dec. 1. Early decision is my god.

Everyone keep posting! The W&M board is dying! (Like I should talk about posting...)

Congratulations dropofwater!!!! Would you be willing to post your stats? My son is anxiously waiting to hear but he is out of state - MA. After reading the UVA acceptance thread - out of state seems almost impossible. What great news - enjoy!

Congrats Dropofwater-

That's great! I guess I'll find out tomorrow, out of state NJ. What type of letter was it? Fat or skinny, big or small package??????

Hey Rileydog-

My cousin got in from out of state (MA, too -- how uncanny), so it's completely feasible.

SAT: 1270 (670 V)
SAT IIs: 500 Math IC, 630 History, 700 Writing
GPA: 3.98 UW, 4.1 W

My ECs were strong and I played them up like nothing else, though...probably the reason my score didn't keep me out (it's on the low side for in-state).

Tribegirl09 - The envelope was large but relatively slim...only a few sheets of paper, but still the best piece of mail I've received in the last few months... :DDDDD

Good luck, you guys-- hope to hear good news from both of you!

congratulations, dropofwater! I'm so jealous, I'm killing myself to get in but I also just want to KNOW, you know?! I'm applying from MD and reading the UVA threads pretty much obilterated my hope of being admitted to a VA public.

I can't sleep, and I'm going to be sitting next to the mailbox all day tomorrow /:

wow... so are we thinking that tomorrow is the day? This is so intense.. I can't believe that we might know where we are going to college within 12 hours... I'll probably wake up late anyway so my mom will get the mail hah.. shes more nervous than I am about all this..

this IS intense. alright everyone... GOOD LUCK!

did anyone get anything yet? I got two random bills from 11/17 at 10:30, an hour before the mailman is scheduled to come. Soooo I'm thinking that it wasn't todays mail haha.. Maybe I'm in denial!.. Let me know if you guys heard anything???

Of course I won't get an answer, you guys are probably out hugging the mailbox like I should be haha
