Numerous academic awards, and community service awards. Have won awards for the Academic Team on various occasions.

For my Essays i have quite a few stories that involve my community service, especially at Just4kix, and Hockey.

Im sure im forgetting a few things but thats the majority.

I currently have a 3.7 GPA, hoping for an 1850 on SAT, which i know is horrible (going to be bringing it up to at least a 2000), and will most likely take SAT IIs in History, and Literature.

I want to go into a law or business field for my major as law has been my passion for many years. I am also in love with any form of History and writing. My Extra Currics reflect my love of law.

Anyway I really really want to get into Brown, or any other "high up there" colleges. I know im no super human but its my dream. Any replies would be great and if you have any questions please ask.

And if you have an suggestions for some good colleges please feel free to share.
Thanks Guys.

I don't understand how you get a 3.7 GPA with those grades. It should be higher than that from my calculation.

Yeah your GPA looks to be a little low for those grades. But, I would say NYU and BC are very solid for you. Cornell and Brown look a little less sure, as they are Ivies. But, if you were to work very hard on your SATs, I could see you being accepted to either one. Make sure you get those SATs well into the 2000s and whatever you do don't choke in your senior year!

Our grading system is strange. I have around a 91-92 gpa average in reality. But if you were to convert it i would have around a 3.7. They are all considered A's in my classes. Anyway, i know i dont have amazing extra currics like some of the supposed super humans on these forums. Im just a normal kid who is trying to have a nice life. I dont join every club imaginable and i dont go to Asia or Africa for 2 weeks. I dont plan on choking senior year at all, and i hope i can bring my SATs up a bunch.

Thanks for the quick replies. Anyone else want to comment?

Bump, anyone?

Bump again =P

I’ll tell you one thing.
People got rejected with better “stats” than yours, and people got in with worse.
Everything else people tell you here is imo ******.
There are soooo many kids running around judging everybody and in the end, it’s all up to 50% luck anyway.

I saved this text below out of a decision thread and it made me realize, that everybody who thinks he/she has a chance should at least try and not give a f**** what others say.
If anybody wants to study somewhere, where the admission decison is solely based on grades, go to Germany or France.
