BROWN FACTOR: Definitely the book (300 pgs). It is my passion and I want to be a writer when I grow up. There is no doubt.

My worry is my grades. Freshman/Sophomore year was hard for me because of intense personal issues that I can back up, but they are low nonetheless. But hey, upward trend?

THANKS!

Brown - Reach

Did you have an interview for Brown yet?

You obviously did not like the way I chanced you the first time so I give it another go.

With Brown’s acceptance rate only being 9% it is obviously a selective school. Most of the kids accepted have an SAT score of 2000 or greater, so you are definitely covered there. And all of your AP classes will really help too since Brown is a top notch academic school. All of your accomplishments are impressive as well, Brown seems to lean towards students who are academically and creatively sound. So I think you have all of your bases covered.

Just like I said the first time, I believe you have a great shot of being accepted. You are a very solid candidate. Good luck to you.

Please chance me back!!!

You are a very well-rounded individual, and will most likely have a solid chance of getting into Brown. Just out of curiosity: what is your book about?

Your upward trend and ethnicity will definitely help you. Playing at Carnegie Hall and possibly getting a book published is amazing! Also, having the internships you have is very rare. That said, your SAT I score and your cumulative GPA are lower than most Brown applicants, but everything else is great. It’s great to see that you didn’t fake your way through high school in order to boost your resume. I think you have a decent chance because of your excellent out of school activities. Good Luck!

Thank you guys so much  Oh, I am applying ED if that helps!

I would not count Brown out, but your chances aren’t that high. It could still happen, you have decent grades and test scores, but a 9% acceptance makes Brown a reach for everyone.

However, you are applying ED, so you do have a better chance than most. Don’t lose hope, but do not be overly depressed if you don’t get accepted.

Chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1580911-chance-me-duke-ed-yea-ill-chance-you-back.html</a></p>

I know, my grades are low for this school. The only reason I think I have a chance is because I think Brown is most holistic with their selection, and heavily take subjectives under increased consideration more than the other ivies.
thanks for the input!
Anybody else?

I would say its a low reach. Your GPA hurts you but your EC’s kind of make up for it. Good luck!! Chance back please http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1577460-chance-blue-devil-duke-ed-hopeful-receive-chance-return.html</a></p>

Thanks! I’m hoping the URM and ED helps a lot haha

anybody else?

……bumpppp

Brown ED: low reach- reach

Brown is a highly selective schools, with many well-rounded applicants. Your SATs and academics are well in range, so make yourself shine with your essays. Did you have your interview? That’s also another oppotunity to demonstrate your intangibles.
Good luck!

thanks for the input!

anybody else? also, the ED results just came out and i am terrified. I had 2 B+'s junior year, which was the year I was supposed to shine after having those personal issues fresh and soph year. I feel like my grades are my pitfall.
Anybody?

Didn’t the your result come out already?..
