so i've loved this school all my life. i remember driving by the campus many times when i visited my cousins. i'm a junior from a very competitive highschool in NJ. i want to know if i will have even the slightest chance.

i am planning to apply E/A

indian male
2100 sat
88% Weighted GPA (took challenging courses honors/ap's)
School doesn't rank

e/c's
volunteer work
interact (community service organization) 3yrs
robotics team 4yrs
music (vocal) 10yrs
work experience

if there is any way i can improve my chances of getting in. few people or no people at all apply from our school.

What highschool do you go to? I'm also from NJ...

Your SATs are good but your extra curriculars are a little sparse and your GPA (weighted) is kind of low. What is it unweighted?

If you focus on bringing your GPA up as much as you can and write incredible essays I'd say you had a shot - but I could be completely wrong. All of us are waiting for our decisions right now so it's hard to say. Why don't you wait another 2 days and see what the accepted stats are from this board? Remember Chicago doesn't have cut-off scores when evaluating applicants so I wouldn't write it off at all.

Show yourself as a person in your application and in the essays. Remember that Chicago will evaluate you not just as a number, but as a person. They don't care too much about SAT scores, only to verify your dedication to school and learning(if even that--but I digress). I can't really offer you any advice about what to do since it is already so late in your high school career. You schould try and get all A's, but I know how hard that is. You should try and write stellar essays, but that is just as hard. You have to show your dedication to your extracurriculars. Those define you as a person more so than your grades and stats, everyone will have good grades and SATs. Talk about your volunteer work, robotics, music, it all shows that you are good at things outside of school. Just don't stress too much.

I go to Montgomery High School its a suburb near Princeton. I live about 5 miles from the campus.
