Chances for a budding sophmore

Hey everyone, I saw all the chances threads on this site and wanted to get a couple different perspectives on my current progress towards college. Right now I am a sophomore in Highschool. I go a highschool ranked the 25th best in the U.S. I started preschool a year early so am a sophmore where i should be a freshman.

I would like to know my chances at uPenn (and M&T program), Princeton, Hopkins, Stanford

The courses are very rigorous, but currently for my freshman and sophmore year combined, I have an average of 96 (out of 100). On the PSATs I took in the fall I scored a 210 (out of 240). Took the SATs in 7th grade and scored a 1710 (mediocre i know, but i was in seventh grade and only 11 years old)

Grades: 96 average (9 and 10 grade)
Starting IB program next year

ECs:

Clubs at school:
Key Club: 10,11,12
JSA: 9,10,11,12
Music Club: 9,10,11,12
TSA: 10,11,12

Sports:
Tennis: Varsity and starting 9,10,11,12
Soccer : JV 9, Varsity and starting 10,11,12

Eagle Scout

Work as a DJ, but do charity events and school events for free

Soccer, main passion, played since i was 5 years old. Play very competively still, in the academy system (tier above travel soccer). Hope to get scouted and play through college, hopefully earning a scholarship.

Play guitar and drums for 9 and 6 years, in a band

So based on this alone as a current sophmore, am i on the right path to an ivy league education?

When is the right time to contact college coaches regarding sports?

Thank you very much, all help is appreciated

How are your grades in comparison to other people in your grade?

As you stand now, your chances are on the slim side because of your extracurriculars, but they go up quite a bit if you’re athletically recruited. Are you nationally ranked? That would definitely increase your chances.

Also, remember that Ivy League schools are not the be-all end-all. There are still many fantastic schools out there that you’d be a great fit for.

What’s up man, I like the soccer academy program. I’ve played against some academy teams because my club team was nationally ranked. Which club are you on?

Anyways, haha, I think you have a good start. Make sure you take honors courses continually onward, especially in math and science. Also, I think colleges would like to see more community service from you, perhaps pertaining to soccer (coaching underprivileged kids) or another extracurricular. Internships are also good to have in my opinion.

I know the soccer you’re involved in takes up a lot of time, so do your best with school and enjoy your activities. I think you should start emailing coaches during you junior year first semester. Good luck.

My grades are in the top 10 percent of other classmates, however our school doesnt release individual rankings, since it is already cutthroat as is. I forgot to mention my mom went to uPenn as well.

for the national ranking question, there really isnt a national ranking system for the academy program im in, it isnt like regular club or travel soccer. But it is very prestigious and players from the older age groups of my academy have been recruited for top name schools and even uPenn!

@Cfcight25, im on NJSA04 from New jersey. Tab ramos is the coach. Do you think my earning Eagle scout will take place for community service? I am also going to earn NHS since I have completed the 200 hours required of service. And another facet of my community service is through DJing, I do charity events and such

bumping this thread up

DJing is a unique community service, so I think it will be appreciated. The things you do for NHS are more important than solely being apart of it in my opinion. And yes the eagle scout thing is good.
