chances for a mediocre student

white female from a competitive high school
Rising trend in GPA:
9: 3.08
10: 3.2ish
11: 3.66
12: 3.7+ (hopefully)
SATs: 1820 - 620CR, 610M, 590W (might take again)
Have taken AP and honors classes
School does not rank

a lot of ECs, work 10+ hours per week, volunteer work, Founder/President of Community Council - a club trying to implement democracy in our school and working for school reform, a bunch of other clubs, participated in a french exchange program, taking a college course this summer, and more but not typing it all out

expecting really good recommendations

Major:
not really sure yet, thinking either education or communications (although I am not sure, and I do realize that some of these colleges listed do not have both majors)

Looking at:
Northeastern***
UVM (my brother goes there)
Umass amherst (cousin goes there, if that helps?)
Uconn (instate)
Suny Purchase
Muhlenberg
Fordham
Penn State
University of Delaware
Loyola Maryland
American
George Washington
Providence

Right now Northeastern is my top choice. (and I haven't visited all of these schools yet, but I really really liked Northeastern). Is there anything else I can do to increase my chances?

Thanks in advance

Raise your scores.

how much should I aim to raise them?

anyone............

raise your sat about 200 points, that is very doable if you put forth the effort. also, think about taking some SAT IIs in your stronger subjects.

Northeastern - High Match/Reach
UVM - Match
Umass amherst - Reach
Uconn - Match
Suny Purchase - Match
Muhlenberg - High Match
Fordham - High Match
Penn State - Match/High Match
University of Delaware - Match
Loyola Maryland - Safety/Match
American - Safety
George Washington - Match
Providence - Safety/Match

Assuming you get your SAT up.

lol... UMass Amherst a reach....and UConn not?

American a safety? are you sure? I thought that was a reach, even if I raised my scores
