If I dont have a shot at these colleges can you recommend some colleges out of state from the state of New York

I like st.johns but I just don't want to stay in New York. I want to go have the full college experience since I live 25min away from St.Johns living on campus would be a waste of money. I want to go to a college which has more than 5,000 people. No more than 12 hours drive from New York. Pretty Much undecided for major but leaning more towards sports management. I think I'm more of a suburban to urban person more than a rural person. I know I doubt i have any out of state safeties even tho Bowling Green was considered one by review.com for some reason. Thank everyone for helping me so far. Really means alot to me.

I think you should check out the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. It is a big urban/suburban school with a basketball team on the rise. The social scene is very strong and many students from my high school in similar situations end up there.

You may want to try a state school in Pennsylvania. You can get a really good education there and many are close to NY. For example, look at West Chester University, Kutztown University, Lock Haven University, Millersville University, Shippensburg University, Bloomsburg University, Slippery Rock University, Indiana University of Pa, California University of Pa. They are all located in different areas of Pa and some are stronger in different areas than others. The closest one to a big city is West Chester, which is just west of Philly. You would definately get a different view of college at any of these schools than you would in NYC.

Edit: for sports management, West Chester, Slippery Rock, or Lock Haven may be your best bets of the list.

Temple- Reach. Not a huge reach, but still a reach.
WVU- Slight reach
Ohio State- Big reach
Bowling Green- Match
Miami- Super Reach
BU- Super super reach
VCW- Same as Temple I would say, maybe a bit less of a reach than that.

Bro, if I were you I would go to community college for a year or two, maintain a very nice GPA and get some credits...and then transfer into one of your dream schools like BU, Miami, Ohio State, or WVU. Just my advice, hope everything works out well for you.

I would do what they said, except give it a try at all those places. IF you don't get into anywhere that you want to go to, go to CC or St. Johns and transfer.
