Higher-Education CHANCES :)

Hello, I though I'd ask for an evaluation after I got my new SAT's

I'll make it sort of short and to the point.

GPA- from a 89 to 92 % avearage or a 3.0-3.5 somewhere around that area.
SATs, 3 best scores
Math-630
CR-640
Writing-620

1270, or a 1890

Class rank-like 28th out of 140 but I took the Most difficult Classes offered

My ECs are pretty week, only 1 sport and that's about it (my school stinks and there were hardly any clubs or whatever)

Anyways with a 1270 and taking the Toughest Classes offered,, what are my chances of getting into these schools. I live in Pennsylvania.

Penn State, main campus
Carnagie Mellon
James Madison
University of Michigan
Fordham
Notre Dame

ANY SUGGESTIONS of any good schools near(20-50 minutes away) New York City. I think it would be cool to live near there.

I would really consider changing the CMU application to Pitt. I really don't think you'd get in at CMU but Pitt is a much closer match to your scores.

Have you looked at Lehigh? That's relatively close to NYC, or well closer than any of the other schools you listed.

Pitt alum. '04
UNC-CH grad student

Oh yeah, sorry about Carnagie Mellon, I sort of put that one down on the list inadvertantly.
