I live in San Diego and I either want to go to Santa Barbara or San Diego...UC of course.

I have a 3.6667 UC GPA, a 2030 on my SAT 1 and a 720 on my US HISTORY SAT II and a 670 on my LITERATURE SAT II.

I have got a pretty good amount of EC stuff.
-Eagle Scout
-California Boy State Delegate
-2 varsity sports
-president of young men's organazation
-200+ hours of service
-Key club
-Link crew
-other minor stuff

what is my chance of being accepted to UCSB?

If you can write some good essays, you're in. I got into UCSD and UCSB with this:

Out-of-state applicant (and white)
1990 SAT
600 SAT Spanish Listening
690 SAT Math Level 2
3.9 unweighted GPA (not sure how it converts to the UC GPA).
6 AP classes, and more honors classes than I can count (about a dozen or so).

EC's:
2 varsity sports all 4 years (including state champ team one year for one of the sports)
Members of various clubs that look good on an application (key club, mua alpha theta, etc.)
Quite a bit of quality community service
Two summers worth of work experience.
Handful of awards (scholar athlete, nevada all-state academic team, varsity letters, and a few other cheesy stuff)

All that and a couple good essays and I got accepted to both schools =). Your GPA might be a little bit low, but you've got pretty good SAT scores, so you've got a damn good shot =)

you're in for sure with those stats. Being an Eagle Scout is huge. I had a friend get into UCLA with similar stats minus the sports, he had his Eagle Scout though.

My daughter got in for this fall with similar GPA, a bit lower SAT I, being editor in chief of the school newspaper and section leader, many years involved with, the school band. Also in San Diego.
