Chances for admission

Hi,

my name is Nima. I
m a German-Iranian who studies at Tehran International School in Iran (10th grade). You are all so experienced. I
d really like to ask you whether I have a choice of being admitted by Harvard University.
My average for the 1st term was 100 % ( meaning, 100% in every single subject as well as behaviour).
I do sport activities as well as a lot of social work in order to help and support the poorer citizens of Iran.
I know 6 languages (English,German,Farsi,French,Spanish,Italian) and I
m studying Arabic at the moment. Also, I am the head of the journalists of our school-newspaper.
Next year, I am in the student
s council and there`s a great chance I might be elected president.
I will receive my high school diploma (NO IB or AP, normal diploma) in 2 years and after that I will take my SAT exams .
Shall I apply? Is there a chance of being admitted at all?

Hi Nima,

I really can't help you here. I'm not familiar with the Iranian school system or how Harvard deals with international students.

Anyone here know?

I think being from Iran would be a huge hook. Definitely apply.

Hello Nima

I was admitted to Harvard this year, and what I learned from the process is that the College loves to admit passionate individuals. What you listed in your description is a quite impressive list of qualities- but that is just a list. I think that if you trully are a driven individual- you consider yourself to be, you should apply to Harvard!

Don't worry much about cold numbers and simply allow your true personality emerge through your application.
