Chances for all UCs

Female, CA resident, Public HS

GPA
-UC GPA: 4.35

-No rankings

SAT TOTAL = 1940 (retaking in Oct)
-CR 600, W 620, M 720

SAT II (retaking math/taking others in Nov)
-Math Level 2: 730
-US History: 650

APs
-AP Calc BC/AB Subscore: 5/5
-AP US: 5

ECs (very weak :()
-Piano (12 years, various awards), CSF (junior-senior yr), Discovery Science Center Volunteer (only a little bit Summer '05), PROSPECTIVE volunteer at an animal shelter (supposedly from now to Fall '07), Honor Roll (since freshman year), School chorus (2 years)
-Also job as a piano accompanist since 2004

I mostly want to know for UCSD, UCLA, and UCB, but any input is appreciated! Thanks

i'd say a safety for all lower and middle tier colleges.

retaking that 1940 and getting a 2000+ will also help your chances.

i'd also say match for ucsd, cal, ucla.

then again, ucla/cal are never sure things.

kelkyann:

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match

UCB/UCLA Engineering schools: Slight Reach
UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match
UCSB/UCI/UCD/UCSC/UCR/UCM: Safeties

As you point out, you are 3.96 UW GPA with lots of AP courses--and you are getting 5s on the AP tests--so this should carry you even though your SAT I scores are below average for these schools (UCB/UCLA).
