<p>Brown is definitely my top choice and I'm applying early decision. I'm also applying to University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins, and Wesleyan in my top tier. On lower priority I'm also applying to Lafayette (my mom went there and then worked there for a couple years) and Franklin and Marshall.</p>
<p>Stats:
GPA- 3.5UW(3.8 for junior year, and 4.0 for senior year so far)\4.3W (5.0 for senior years so far)
Rank- 62 of 450, top 14%, and it will be within top 10% by the time applications are in.
SAT- 2200 (760 math, 760 reading, 680 writing)
SAT2- I will be taking American History, Math 1, and, Math 2
APs- 5 in Macroeconomics, 5 in American History, 4 in Government, and 4 in English Language. And I'm taking Physics B (2 credits), Psychology, European History, English Literature, and Microeconomics this year. AP scholar with honor.</p>
<p>ECs:
Scholastic Scrimmage captain (general knowledge quiz bowl team). jv in 9th grade and varsity in 10th-12th. 4th place in our conference two years ago, 2nd place last year, and we've gotten to the semifinals of a half state tournament both years.
Debate cross examiner. Varsity in 11th and 12th. Conference champions last year.
Chess. JV in 11th, varsity this year.
Mock Trial Court. I'm one of only four students to make it on.
Philosophical Society president. This always gets asked about in the interview and I talk about how it was originally founded for religious debate and I've moved it moved it in a somewhat more existentialism\ethics direction and it's been a great tool to promote tolerance and understanding of different beliefs and to learn about different worldviews, which seems to go over well.
Young Republican Club vice president.
Creative Writing Club executive board officer.
Students for Political Action, Libertarian Party chairman.
Model congress and state assembly. I won 2nd best representative at model state assembly last year.
