Chances for Caly Poly SLO

I'm currently an IB junior in California at one of North Cali's top rated high schools. I am strongly considering SLO as my first choice as a Business Admin. major, and was hoping for some insight on my chances.

Pretty much all of my classes over soph/junior year have been honors classes, so there's definitely some rigor involved.

3.1 UW GPA
3.9 W GPA
Decent amount of ECs (though I don't think CSUs care too much about ECs) and community service hours.
2100 SAT as of now (looking to retake and score 2200 or better)
No SAT2s yet (not required by CSUs or UCs but should I still take a couple)

Also, would ED be a good idea? I know SLO's ED acceptance rate is lower than their regular rate, so should I stay away? Thanks

I think it’s 50/50 just because of your grades. Your SAT is definitely above average for Cal Poly. It also depends which major you apply for…

FYI Cal Poly only accepts CR + M

Doener, applying as a Business Admin major. And CR + Math is a 1410.

You got a pretty good chance. Check out the avg gpa of accepted students.

I think your essays and EC will make the difference.

bump. any other insight?

Bump…

Your SAT is well above but your GPA is right where it is for the average. If you can bring it up during the 1st semester of senior year (not sure if it counts) then I’d say you’re in.
