Should I apply Early Decision? - Cal Poly SLO

I'm a Senior from CA. I plan on majoring in Business and applying to all the UCs (hoping for top ones) but my grade of D+ in Junior year Methods (Pre-cal) has caused me to think I shouldn't get my hopes too high. Moreover, I asked my D if i could attend a Berkeley admissions workshop and he replied that I, "won't get into Berkeley. You're going to have a lot of trouble getting into ANY school with your grades." =/. I know UCB is definitely a long shot, but maybe there are some better schools than Cal Poly that I can get into..

Anyway, here is some basic info, let me know what colleges with good business programs would accept me along with whether or not i should E.D. CPSLO. Thanks in advance.

Cum. GPA: 3.316
W: 4.051
Cal Grant GPA: 3.36

SAT: M660, CR600, W670

I took IB for 2 1/2 years, transferred schools and take AP. Between Jr. and Sr. year i have 6 APs including Calc AB (which my grade of B or higher will hopefully make up for my D+)

Scheduled to take MATH II, Spanish, and Literature SAT subjected tests along with ACT. Also retaking SAT

-3 years of cross country, 2 track, 1 year of soccer. MVP twice in Cross Country.
-Manager of Auto Paint Shop for Senior Summer

Keep in mind this is extremely condensed

By Cal Grant do you mean UC GPA?

UC’s don’t accept D’s, RETAKE THE CLASS, but talk to your counselor just to make sure, and you should be able to get into- UCR, UC Merced, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz

“cal grant”- i’m just reading it off my transcript, i really don’t know what it is.

I can not retake the class, it isn’t offered at my new school. The best I can do (which I am doing) is taking MATH II SAT which will hopefully repeal my D+. Does that mean I can’t get into ANY UC’s?

Talk to your counselor, you will probably have to retake the D somewhere to be UC eligible and I’m not sure if the better CSUs will accept a D. I’ve seen kids retake these classes at night school and online.
