Chances for early decision?

Hey! I'm a rising senior at a private bay area (cali) highschool (Harker, if that helps. No rankings). I am probably going to list either humanities (sports management) or Engineering (computer science) on my application. My mom is white (american) and my dad is Indian(from asia).
Languages spoken - Japanese (taken for years at school)

ACT - 33
SAT - 2250 (750/780/730)
SAT 2 math 2 - 800
SAT 2 chem - 710
AP's taken - Calc AB (5) CS (5). Next year I am taking psychology and physics C (both C tests). Those are the only AP's next year, but my courseload will be challenging (post-ap CS and math classes)
Unweighted GPA - about a 3.6 at this point. It will be higher when I graduate (freshman year is pretty bad, sophomore/junior (and hopefully senior) are good)

Lots of community service (tutoring club, nhs volunteering, AYSO coach/ref)

EC's-
Model UN co-captain
Ultimate Frisbee captain
NHS (11-12)
AYSO - probably the biggest one. I used to be a player, and now I am a volunteer coach and ref. I also help out in their program for disabled children.

Sports-
I got a shoulder injury around right before freshman year. I played Soccer that year, but it was a disaster (shoulder constantly dislocates).Sports are a passion of mine (even if I can't play competetively anymore). Now, instead of playing Basketball or Football, I am the PA announcer at some home games.

Work experience -
Last summer I had a job at a local startup doing software testing. Worked for about a month, paid job.
This summer I am currently working at a chemical logistics company in Germany. 1 month job, 40 hours/week, unfortunately it is an unpaid internship.
Summer after 8th/9th grade I volunteered at an AYSO Soccer summer camp, coach children.

Also, I'm not sure if I should add this to my (or any) applications at all, but when I turn 18 (a few months) I am probably going to try to start doing standup at local comedy clubs. This is another dream of mine, and I have been writing for it in my free time for a while.
Thanks for the help, really hoping I get in early decision :)!

You seem like a perfectly competitive applicant. More so than me, I’m applying this year too. You should have a good chance at getting in. No huge hooks or anything that stands out but you still have quite a resume. Good Luck.

You seem to be very technically motivated. Stress that to Rice - I think they like to see a passion for a subject. Also, quantify the time you spent on some of the more important projects, to show dedication.

Like FLstudent2014 said, you’re perfectly competitive.

Current Rice Freshman here!

You seem competitive, but I would be wary. Most people here erred on the side of high GPA and easy classes, instead of low GPA and hard classes. Your test scores are phenomenal (far better than mine were), but your GPA is low. Your EC’s look good, but nothing stands out at extraordinary. Anyways, good luck to you and I hope to see you on campus next year!
