Hey, first time posting here. I have high expectations but need to have a sense of how realistic those expectations are. I grew up overseas as a missionary kid up through middle school , I'm fluently trilingual (English, French & Arabic) and I'm also half-egyptian.
I recently visited Rice University and really liked it, and it is my first choice as a rising senior. I noticed that they really emphasize on having a diverse culture on campus and i feel I'd fit in very well with a well cultured background, and my ECs/community service involvement. My main concern is how
I've taken both the SAT and ACT, SAT score was a mess and I made a 27 on the ACT (8 writing) and my GPA is a 3.6/4.0. Weak point on ACT was English, completely screwed up the last section (should have made better use of time allocated) which brought my score down to a 23E, i am planning on retaking it to fix that and realistically get a 30 composite.
My extra curriculars are fairly good though, entering senior year I will be captain/ceo of school's Robotics team, School district teen school board president, vice president of student council, admin (also co-founder) of the debate club; on the member level, I'm involved with clubs such as FCS, NHS, and Interact. also have an extensive list of academic and student of the month awards. In terms of community service, I've always been a very active member of our technical team with over 1000 hours clocked the past 3.5 years. I'm just trying to get a better better idea of how realistically i good get in, and if there is anything i could do to improve chances.

Thanks,
