your courseload may be your downfall…Do well on your SAT II’s but I’m not sure if that will save you. If you go RD you can show them you mid-term grades in AP classes? But if you go ED you probably have a better chance? ED=low reach

^It’s hard to determine if his courseload is a problem without be familiar with his school.

But honestly, his stats are great for NU. Top 10% of the class, the 34 and EDing are enough to make it a match.

I know my courseload is weak but I have a solid senior schedule so hopefully NU will take that into serious consideration. Is there anything I can do (other than essays) to improve chances?

Short of bumping your ACT up another point, no. But you shouldn’t be worried.

alright thanks billa. I was debating taking the act sept 11 but I have another commitment so I guess not

I think you’ll be fine. My friend with a lower GPA and lower SAT (if you convert your ACT into SAT) got into Northwestern under ED

thanks! Just found out the cut off for top 10% is 4.15 so I’m definitely top 10% and I’ll take Math 2 on Oct. 5. anyone else?

BUMP!!! anyone?

I’d go with match, contrary to what everybody else has been saying. Easy course load and low GPA won’t help you.
