Chances for ed? thanks

hey, this is weird, i already applied, so i figured i might as well see my chances.

gpa: 3.85/4.0
rank: our school dosent do ranks, but its pretty clear that im between 6-8/280 at a competitive(especially this year…) pub. school in MA.

sat: 740 Cr, 790 M, 790 W
sat II: 800 math 2, 790 w hist, 760 us hist
intended major: Philosophy, politics, and economics—i think penn is brilliant because it offers this in CAS.

Ecs: pretty good, a few pretty significant instrumentalist stuff, i am most probably good enuf to play in Penn’s WInd Ensemble(if i get in…)
my passion is teaching and i have some decent stuff to back it up… for those of you out there who are also interested and might not know, theres a program called Teach for AMerica that you can join after college, which sends you into poorer areas of America to teach to underprivelged students. It is phenomenal, i know there are a lot of intelligent ppl on these boards, so just keep it in mind wherever you go…
-capt. of state champion math team (MA) for medium size schools. the large size schools include the infamous lexington high…we don’t directly compete with them but compete with other very comparable schools.
work: worked at dunkin donuts over summer, 25-30 hours per week.

essays: they were honest, hopefully they also could convey my passions as well
recommedations: should be pretty good

so, i know, pretty bland, anyone? thanks.

Not bland at all! Great grades and scores, and you seem to be really devoted to a couple of things. I definitely think you'll get in! I'm also really interested in PPE..I wrote about it a lot in my "Why Penn" essay. Ok, good luck!!!

man, i forgot to write that i qualified for the AIME on my app..
PPE is so incredible; after talking with two students in it and seeing their course offereing, i really really want to be in those classes because they are soo interesting. oxford actually started the idea of PPE back in the 20's and american universities such as penn and yale are catching on to how useful and self-enlightening it can be. if nothing else, i just want to go to a school with a PPE program and penn without a doubt has the strongest one in america cuz ur not just confined to ppe courses...i wrote bout this in my app...but don't you think it's cool that penn is like a playground for learning? you can access any school to take classes to supplement what ever you want to learn...
i wish i had worked a little bit harder to change my 3.85 to maybe a 3.9/3.95 so i could have more of a chance of getting in.

ok, so that 'playground for learning' sounded pretentious but it is true!

ok, i dont know how this works but

bump...

haha, well I think you got a pretty good shot applying to CAS.
I liked that you didn't just list your ECs, but just expanded on two showing your passion for them.
With those test scores and grades, I think you should get into the College of Arts and Sciences at Penn.
