You have a good chance at getting into all of those schools, except those Ivies might be unpredictable, simply because they are :3.

^Very true. Thanks!

I think you’re very competitive with everything you have here, and are definitely in for BC. As everyone has said previously, Ivies are unpredictable. Best of luck to you.

Harvard & Yale-You have the stats but it’s Harvard & Yale so anything could happen
Brown-high match (you obviously have the stats but it’s holistic admissions)
Amherst-high match (you obviously have the stats but it’s holistic admissions)
Wellesley-extremely low match (it’s never a safety)
Tufts-low match (it’s never a safety)
BC-safety

You have amazing chances for the schools you want to apply to Good luck!

I think you have a great chance, especially for BC and Wellesley. Being a legacy for the schools that you’re at also helps turn the tide in your favor.

While Harvard, Brown, Yale, Amherst are fairly selective regardless, and shouldn’t ever really be considered “safety” schools, I feel like you’re a fairly competitive applicant for them.

Wow you are one hell of a student! I’d say that if Harvard is your #1 choice, then definitely apply SCEA! Even though the admissions process is nearly impossible to predict for Harvard, I’d say you’re a very strong applicant and I think you have a fantastic chance. I really hope you get in Best of luck!

^Aw that’s so nice! I really appreciate your kind words :o

You’ve got the grades and standardized test scores, your ECs are solid and varied but none of them in particular is amazing. You might actually get Tuft’s syndromed from BC, but I think you’re going to get Wellesley, Tufts, and at least one of HYB. Probably not 2 or 3, but at least one. I’d honestly do more Ivies because you seem like the super well rounded sort they’re looking for to fill out numbers. Good luck.

Honestly I think you have a great chance at all of these colleges, although as we all know here on CC the ivies are crapshoots. That being said, you have a much better chance than most other applicants due to your outstanding test scores, ECs, legacies, and the fact that your school sends many people to top schools.

Amherst:High Match
BC: Low match
Brown: Low reach
Harvard: Low reach (Legacy and SCEA taken into account)
Tufts: High Match
Wellesley: Mid/High Match
Yale: Reach

Hey thebeatlestoday,
Your application looks really impressive, and im sure you’d be a top candidate for any of the schools you’re looking at. Of course, applying to places like Harvard, Yale, Brown, and Amherst is super unpredictable and nobody can say for sure if someone will get in, but you seem as good a candidate as any. I think you’ll be in at Wellesley, Tufts, and BC pretty easily.
Thanks for chancing me btw, and best of luck!

I think your courseload doesn’t seem very challenging, and your ECs arent that great either, but you have good SATs. I would say Harvard and Yale are high reaches. Brown would prolly be a reach. The rest would prolly be low reaches.

^I actually take what would be considered a very challenging courseload at my school. I guess it just varies from school to school (since we don’t start offering AP’s really until senior year, and we take usually 5-6 academic classes per year).

(Thanks for chancing me). I’m not an expert with colleges and applications but from your test scores and GPA alone you have a great foundation and you have a lot of extracurricular, many of which show commitment. I know colleges look at how many APs your school offers compared to how many you take so I wouldn’t worry about not being able to take a lot of APs. I’d say you have a very strong resume in my opinion, congrats, and I hope you get in. :)

Harvard, Yale, Brown, Amherst, all reach to high reach because there is nobody that is really a match at those schools, your scores and grades/classes are all very impressive, write some good essays!

Wellesley and BC match, you’re a almost safe to assume you’ll get into those schools. But we all know what they say about assuming…

Chance me back!

ajaxm13: I chanced you back :)

OK, guys, I think we should let this die now. Thanks for all the great advice!

Great shot but youre ECs are rather unimpressive. Regardless, your legacy status definitely will earn you a second look.
Good luck and Chance back? Its titled “Chance me please” under my posts.

Thanks!
