<p>What's up athlon...I believe we talked the other day over AIM about the SAT. You'll definitely get a higher verbal score, and with that higher score I think you'll have a strong chance at Yale. What are you writing your essays about?</p>

<p>Just for your information about your SATs - you combine the highest verbal with the highest math - if you got 800(M) on the first plus 720(V) on the second your total is 1520.</p>

<p>I'm planning to write one of my essays about my summer experience @ NASA SHARP... mostly the diversity I encountered and the research/engineering experience I gained. I'm not sure about the other essay... it's gonna be more personal and artsy :)</p>

<p>You have a shot, fair as everyone else. Yale, Princeton, Stanford are toss-ups, though, no matter how good you are.</p>

<p>drownindreams: Dartmouth is probably a bit too rural for me and I hear greek life is pretty big there and I'm not too into that. Brown might be alright but I already have a lotta reaches and I've been slacking and haven't written any essays lol. Are you a fellow SciOly member? I do mostly written events in Chem & others! w00t haha.</p>

<p>Btw, does anybody know the chances of getting merit aid at schools like UChicago, Duke, Vandy, CMU, etc.? I'm really hoping that I can get some because I most likely won't qualify for much finaid.</p>

<p>Hey, I'm really worried because I'm an early graduate with only three years of high school after graduation and only two for college admissions purposes. I've talked to Yale, Harvard and Princeton officers and they all swear to me that they do take early grads and dont' discriminate however I'm still scared. If you could look at my stats and tell me honestly how you think they match me up I'd really appreciate. By the way, I'm graduating early because I've exhausted my school's Advanced Placement offerings with only three more possibilities next year and because of family financial instability(we just moved and are dealing with paying for two houses at the same time).</p>

<p>I'm receiving letters of recommendation from my Latin teacher, my English teacher(student govt. sponsor), and my piano teacher.</p>

<p>Additionally, I'm sending off two supplementary cds to be evaulated. The piano cd has Chopin's minute waltz, Mozart's Variations on Twinkle Twinkle and Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata. And the oboe cd has two Telemann Oboe Concerto's and a Handel Oboe Sonata.</p>

<p>I'd really, really appreciate if someone can evaluate my chances for me. Also, I went on a campus visit and REALLY LOVED Yale. I know that's it a frickin' hot school because the numbers from last year were insane. Advice would be WONDERFUL. Thanks so much.</p>

<p>I just copied and pasted this from another thread-the chances at the ivies one, so don't consider me one of those people that goes around copying people's stats and trying to make others intimidated or what not. I just want to hear what others say.</p>
