Chances for Ivies?

<p>I'm a junior and I'm interested to know if I'm on the right track for getting into any Ivy League schools, specifically UPenn. </p>

<p>White Male
Philadelphia, PA
Single Parent Home
Less than $40,000 annual parental income
Fairly competitive Catholic high school </p>

<p>4.0 Unweighted GPA
Sophomore year: AP European History (3)
Junior year: AP Biology, AP Language and Composition, Precalc/trig, Spanish 3, physics
Tentative Senior year: AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, AP Literature and Composition, Spanish 4
7/9 APs that my school offers
4 years of honors Spanish
Rank from end of sophomore year: 4/419 and <em>probably</em> improving </p>

<p>I will be taking the SAT in January. I'm expecting somewhere in the 2000 range, but who knows. </p>

<p>3 years involved in school plays, with some minor roles such as Mr. Pinky in Hairspray, and Old Joe/Headless Ghost in A Christmas Carol.
Will have around 50 hours of community service completed by the end of senior year.
National Honor Society for two years.
Spanish Honor Society for one year.
Will be starting a Harry Potter club in the coming weeks.
Sr. Alice Hess, IHM's Varsity Mathletes for two years.
Yearbook for 2 years.</p>

<p>Will have fairly good recommendations from my teachers.</p>

<p>Here’s what I know about Penn, unless you’re a URM or have another hook, a 2000 SAT score will almost never get you in. Read the common data set for every school that interests you. You will learn what it takes to get in.</p>
