Can someone help me out with my chances, to each or at least 1 of these colleges? I’m tired of not knowing what to expect and I’m hoping someone could tell me whether to not get my hopes up or to keep them up. Thank you guys

Most of these schools have acceptance rates in the single digits, so you have to expect that all of them will turn you down. Also, the ACT is low for the elite schools. UF and BC are your best options. UF, would certainly be the best if you live in Florida because the tuition is super cheap. It’s the best education for the money in my opinion. If not, I recommend against it. Out of state schools are stingy with nonresident students. If you are out of state BC might be the better choice because private schools generally are more generous with need-based financial aid.

All of the schools on your list apart from UF and BC are long shots for you. I think you probably need some other matches on your list.

The thing is, I’m a hispanic, first-gen student, and I’ve been told that lowers the bar quite a bit. I understand I don’t necessarily have top tier scores or awards, but is that deficit enough to possibly get me into one of the single-digits in your opinion?
