I'm currently a junior. I think I'm going to apply for MIT early action next year. Here are my stats (at a competitive private school in Georgia - last year we had three students accepted to Harvard):
GPA:
UW: 3.96
W: Ranked 2/271 (I have a good chance at becoming #1 by the end of the year though)
Classes were hardest I could have taken expect for one not-honors history class in 9th grade.

APs:
No APs in 9th or 10th grade due to school curriculum, but here are the ones I am taking or am going to take
11th grade - BC Calculus, Language and Composition, U.S. History, Chemistry
12th grade - Statistics, Literature, Physics, Biology

SAT:
I have not taken the SAT yet, but my PSAT score was a M/CR/W - 80/76/76, and I'm pretty sure SAT will be 2250+.
I took the Math II subject test and got an 800. I am going to take subject tests in Chemistry and Physics at the end of this school year and believe I can get 700+ on each.

Recommendations:
Expect recommendation from math teacher to be spectacular. He considers me to be one of his top three students in his 27 years of teaching. I'm not quite sure about my other recommendation, but it should be pretty good.

School Activities:
Math Team (9th-12th grade, started running the meetings mid-way through 11th grade)
Shakespeare Tavern (Acted in Macbeth in 9th grade and Romeo and Juliet in 11th grade - only offered at my school every other year)
Marching Band (9th and 10th grade. Unable to participate in 11th and 12th grade because I could not attend marching band camp due to other summer opportunities).

Summer Activities;
Was a member of the Georgia ARML team my 10th grade year and expect to be a member in 11th and 12th grade
Attended 3 week AwesomeMath summer program after 10th grade
I will do something math related this summer - I am applying for RSI but don't know if I can get in

Awards:
Math departmental award in 9th and 10th grade
Have won awards at 18 math tournaments to date including
- 1st place at North Fulton in 2007 - included over 100 participants from Georgia and Alabama
- 1st place at UGA in 2007 - one of the largest math tournaments in the state with over 300 participants
- 2nd place Vestavia Hills in 2007 - large tournament with participants from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and maybe some other states
- Qualified for the AIME in 9th and 10th grade and scored a 4 and 5 respectively
- I have improved a lot and think I have a good chance at qualifying for USAMO this year

I know that I don't have a whole lot of extracurriculars, but I have spent a lot of time with the few that I have been involved in.
