Chances for Mudd?

<p>Hi , I would like to know my chance of getting into Mudd, most likely majoring in computer science or engineering. </p>

Violin: perfect score NYSMMA at highest level solo Junior year
Piano: perfect score NYSMMA at level 5 of 6 duet Junior year
Science Bowl Team Member
Science Olympiad Team Member - Robot competition co-leader, 1st place technical problem solving Junior year regionally
Philosophy Club member
Model UN club member
Varsity Swimming: Junior year on Medley Relay which was top 15 in New York at State Championships
Club Swimming year-round
Programming Competitions such as Google Code Jam and IPFC
CTY programs in Computer Science throughout 6th - 8th grade
Developed Android applications (The Elements) with over 30,000 Dls + 4.5/5 rating from scratch. Turned into open source and worked with others that joined project to improve.
Adopted a third open source Android Application (FireTaps), likely to become very successful.
Design + build(ing) an autonomous UAV: This summer I am working on a self-controlled UAV based on the arduino platform with a friend. Designed in autoCAD and currently in assembly and programming steps. 11th grade summer: Worked as a programmer for 1st playable on an upcoming game ( not released yet)</p>

<p>Do I have a chance at getting into Harvey Mudd?</p>

<p>Yes, of course you have a chance. Have you visited Mudd? Are you sure it’s the place for you? If so, why? Make that case in a good, solid, well-written and specific essay and it’s hard to see how you could not get admitted.</p>

<p>That GPA figure threw me off for a minute, lol.</p>

<p>You definitely have a chance, I would say.</p>

<p>Only thing I can really mark you down for is the SAT writing score (middle 50% of the 2014 class was 670-760), but other than that, you have a fairly balanced app and a good chance of getting in. Just make sure to write a strong essay explaining why Mudd would be a good fit and you should be good to go.</p>

<p>Just my experiences though - somebody with more background could probably give you a better guess.</p>
