b u m p . . . . . .

What more help do you want/need? I think everything's been just about covered.

More opinions/insight would be appreciated

"go tend your crops in georgia"?

Oh yitty... you just proved to everyone how realistic / valuable your opinions are. Keep your personal biasies against SAT's and Georgia to yourself.

Besides, GPA IS SO NOT EVERYTHING!

Schools are different; my AP EURO course may be tougher than your AP EURO course. How are you going to compare my B in Honors English to your A in Honors English? Maybe my teacher was harder than yours?

That's when you look at SAT's.... you put all the kids on the same standard and measure them!!!

Ghodn22, you don't need any more opinions / insights.. we've already told you enough. Like i said, spend more time on the essays!

You have a great shot. If your GPA was 3.6+, NYU'd been a safety school.

Haha yitty disappeared after she was destroyed on two threads. That's what you get..

Alright OP, almost 70% of ppl at NYU were top decile of their class. You SATs are well above average, if you have a reason explaing grades/rank, then I'd do it. And are you egyptian or black, because arabs are not african american.

I have a hunch that yitty lives in Long Island. If he/she/it really wants to whip out stereotypes, we can play that game.

Karl, where did you get Arab from? Just wondering because I didn't see it on the original post.

Im Egyptian so yea im Arab, but Egypt is in africa so ... Technically, my skin color isn't black, but I guess i'm still a URM?

arabs ain't urm, and while egypt may be in africa, let's not kid ourselves, or whore ourselves out for the sake of college admissions.

Missed that part. My mistake. I think you have a solid chance regardless.

I think you will be fine!
