mmarsha:

UCLA: Slight Reach (out of state)

ughh
well at least its just a slight reach according to you haha
ohh man i really really hope i get in!

thanks btw

well he is pretty accurate with this stuff

I'm sorry but, this is not just a slight reach. I've known applicants with your stats IN STATE to be rejcted from UCLA. I'm not an expert or anything, but I have lived in California all my life and go to a school where at least 40 seniors go to UCLA every year.

Admissions out of state are extremely difficult, but if you want to go there, then its worth a try.

summerskter,

I agree with flopsy. Slight reach.

You're not thinking about the trees for the forest. Sure, you know people who were rejected with those stats, but you probably know a lot more who've gotten in.

I think it's a bit exaggerated, myself.

Your UC GPA, including the summer school classes, comes out to a 3.95.

Basically, you get up to an extra 8 points for AP/Honors/College classes. And you only count your sophomore and junior year.
