Hi everyone! UC Santz Cruz is one of my top choices, if not my absolute top choice. However, I know admission is much more competitive out of state and am wondering if I have a real chance at being admitted for Fall 2016? I am currently a Junior and would probably major in the sweet linguistics department. Also, is the student body radically liberal, or just as liberal as any west coast campus? I am politically independent and am open to all views and discussion, but don’t want anything (liberal or conservative) being shoved down my throat for 4 years, or being considered different or arrogant for not being liberal enough. Does this happen at UCSC?
