I am currently applying for 9th grade to PEA.
I get strait A's at a prep school in NYC.
My school doesn't offer any AP or Honors in 8th grade but i am taking all the courses possible.
I painted a public school in need and worked at a soup kitchen for community service.
I am the captain of my soccer travel team, and i play Track and Volleyball for my school (both teams are Prep League Champions)
I also act in the school plays and musicals (one of the lead roles) and take chorus once a week.
I think I had a good interview but i didn't do so well on my SSATs. I was in the 83rd percentile :/

I worked really hard on my essay and sent the admissions office a video of me playing soccer which came out well.
It is the only school i am applying to, but if i dont get in I can stay in my current school

did the coaches reply? im in the same boat as u… except my grades are like mostly a’s with one c in spanish 3 honors. but that was first quarter went up. my ssat was 95 also. i think it really depends on ur sport, does exeter want u kind of thing? have u been in contact with the coaches? ive been calling and talking with the coaches… and he told me id be in the top 5 candidates for the program (he hinted most get in as long as ssat nd itnerview went solid) and if soo i think ur set

yea id say im pretty good. im on a pretty competitive soccer team. i had a tour of the sports facilities with the soccer coach and he said i should send the video to the admissions so i hope that works

I wouldn’t worry about making it in, on that note not enough community service. If you do one afternoon of community service that doesn’t really stand out. Chance me back and be honest.

I have friends who are much less qualified extra-curricularly and have gotten into Exeter.
That said, I think a lot of it depends on how you came across in your interview. Also, although those test scores aren’t the best, I think the average is somewhere around 93rd percentile, keep in mind that that is merely an average, half the people who are accepted fall below that.
Good Luck! I’ll cross my fingers come March 10th
