If I have a 4.0 for both of my semesters at college freshman year (I took rigorous classes too) and am on the Dean's list? BTW I'm in state. I heard regular decision is alot harder so I'm scared :(

I am in a similar position as you. I have 60 credits, and I applied for regular decision in fall 2013. I have a total GPA of 3.9, and my last two semesters were 4.0. I am partially transferring for financial reasons from an out of state school, but I am a Maryland resident.

Can anyone weigh both mine and ericdude88’s chances?

I’m in the same boat as you guys. I’m so frustrated because I was planning on applying for early decision but I sent my transcript too late. So I got pushed to the June 1st deadline. I have a 3.0 so I’m barely making it. I have 56 credits.

“Maryland community college students who have completed the associate degree or students who have completed 56 semester hours of credit with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher on a scale of 4.0 shall not be denied direct transfer to a Maryland public four-year institution.”

I asked the university about this policy, and they said it is true, but it depends on if the university has enough space. So I’m just hoping there will be space left. And I’m pretty sure they consider people with higher GPAs first. But my friend had a 3.2 when he applied last year and he got in. So I don’t know.

I didn’t apply to an LEP. I’ll do that later. I know I don’t have a good enough GPA, and definitely not enough ECs.

Did your friend apply during the regular or early decision deadline?

He told me regular… but he applied spring semester so idk
