<p>CMU's acceptances tend to be pretty random - but if I had to give a prediction I would say he's in for sure.</p>

<p>He's in. CMU's similar to UVA in that it's pretty easy to predict whether or not a TJ kid will get in based on GPA.</p>

<p>Those stats and circumstances are nearly identical to my S's last year, down to the math/science magnet (Tx) and church work in the summer. Better where there's any difference. My S starts SCS this Sunday (orientation).</p>

<p>Barring something I can't see, I can't imagine why he wouldn't be accepted, but it can seem random at times.</p>
