Hi. I'm interested in business/finance/econ.

I'm a junior at a competitive public school (~600 students).

GPA: 3.8
ACT: 36

ECs:
FBLA 4 years, president senior year
JSA: board member at school, will have a position in the midwest territory next year.
NHS: president senior year
Research internship studying cancer
competing in nationals next year (cancer research)

Awards:
State science award, competing in nationals next year
Various best speaker awards (JSA)

I know my ECs aren't very detailed, but I'm dedicated to all of them. I just don't feel like writing about all of them...I'll save that for college apps.

Anyways, please chance me for Stanford/Upenn, and give your insight, comments, etc.

Your ACT is amazing and your ECs seem very focused and different....the cancer research will help a lot. Even though no one can really say about UPenn and Stanford, you do have a really good shot. =)

sorry I saw that but didn't really pay attention. Anyway, I applied to both of these schools. I was weaker in pretty much every aspect except GPA. I got rejected from Stanford SCEA (not surprised) and I got into Penn. I def think you will be fine at Penn and I can't say about Stanford but it seems like you have a good shot. Just make sure you spend a lot of time on Stanford's supplement it is a long one and probably very important. Good luck

Thanks. How about Wharton, though? Which school in UPenn did you apply to?

My main concern is that my ECs are sort of scattered around, and although I do like what I do, there really isn't anything to consolidate it into a single strong point.
