I feel like I have the grades and GPA for the school, but I'm worried about my SAT scores. Do you guys think my sub-par SAT scores will kill my chances?

Not sure... there is GSP, which is often composed of people with high GPA/low SAT scores or the other way around. I'd worry about the recs. And IMO, you should have diversified your essay... talked about something besides business. Stern seems to be one of those schools that likes to accept some people who have never done anything business-related in their lives in addition to people who have done business-related activities.

Well, if you would like to do so... I don't know -- that's my advice to you, since it's clear from other parts of your application that you are passionate about the stock market. Use your essay to convey something new.

have whatever teacher you think knows you best, and can write a recommendation about you as a person, not just the grades you got in that class. Also, it might help if you had a teacher that teaches a subject you are weak in write it. For example, I had a low SAT writing score, so I had my english teacher who knew me well write it, and apparently it was pretty good cause i got in.
