Chances for Syracuse?

Im an applicant for the class of 2021 and I would most likely be applying to Whitman/Newhouse, either or and eventually double major in Public Relations and Business Management! Thanks for the feedback if you leave some

GPA: 4.58 (Weighted)

My high school freshman year did not offer any honors level courses in anything besides math and english. This was extremely frustrating, and I transferred to a new school sophomore year. The R is an academic level class, and its the highest available option in everything except Math and English. Although for Math, taking Algebra II as a freshman was rare and barely any kids took honors (my school literally discouraged students from taking honors – so happy I transferred, terrible staff and teaching tactics)

Sophomore Year Classes:
Honors Geometry (A-)
Honors US I (A),
Honors English II (A-),
Chemistry (A),
Spanish II (A),
Digital Media and Photo Design (A+)

Junior Year Schedule:
AP English,
AP US II,
Honors Precalc,

Business Management,
Financial Literacy
Spanish III

Over 60 hours of service altogether

Jobs
Works on the Jersey Shore as Beach Staff at a Private Club, 12 hours a week all summer

Hi, only seeing this now but if you still wanted advice, I just got into the Newhouse Whitman dual for the class of 2020 with a merit scholarship. I had a 2050 SAT and high school average of 94 (some b’s and a few c’s over the years actually but at one of the best schools in Canada) I think what will set you apart will be essays and extracurriculars, showing you really have an interest in communications and business. Remember in the dual program you need to be admitted by both colleges

@abbottqc…Do you mind sharing which scholarship you received? My daughter applied regular decision with very similar stats. Thx!!

@abbottqc thanks for the advice! i think i might just apply to whitman and add a dual later on, just so i know i could handle it and wont be overwhelmed as soon as i get to school.

@paparent106 sure, I got a Chancellor’s Scholarship for 15,000$
