I have teachers who will give me shining reccommendations, and I have written an essay which, upon showing it to my dad's friend (who happens to be an Admission Officer at Northwestern) said it was 'killer'. It focuses on overcoming a former mental illness, and helping a younger brother with the same mental illness as myself.

Finally, I am also a published poet. I haven't done anything too big, but I've published materials in local newspapers, won prizes in statewide competitions, and made a little money on the side.

So please be honest, and any advice that you guys could offer would help, too.

Oh, and I got 5’s on all my AP tests.

And I was a national merit semifinalist, and a tutor for a year.

I thought I would chance you back.

Despite your fairly average ECs, I really like how you emphasized your passion for writing, as corroborated by your SAT CR and Lit scores. I think this will be a big help.
