Yeah, so that's everything I guess
I want to major in business (mainly finance, but I'll settle for management and so forth)
Some Colleges that I'm anxious to be chanced on:
Columbia (maybe ED? my brother goes there) - I know it has no UG business but its a great school nonetheless
Wharton (how bad of a reach)
NYU Stern
UMICH Ross
UT Austin
Carnegie Mell - Tepper
UC Berkeley - Haas
anything else?

Thanks for reading all of this and I greatly appreciate any of your replies.

bump. anyone?

Bring up the scores for Wharton, Columbia, Berkeley OOS and if you want pre admit status at Ross. The others look reasonable.

so i should take the sat’s again? or overall gpa.

SAT’s. As an Asian from NJ, you are in one of the most competitive pools. Your SATs are a bit below median for Wharton and they should be well above for a real shot.

What’s your rank?

top 5%; we do not do rank in school, but im pretty sure i’m top 10

what are usually the medians for schools like the ones i put up anyways; collegeboard doesnt show the specific majors just the general college

I wouldn’t listen to these guys. I think if you ED to Wharton, you’ll get in.

For RD:
Wharton (how bad of a reach)- High match
NYU Stern- In
UMICH Ross- In
UT Austin- Match
Carnegie Mell - Tepper- Low match
UC Berkeley - Haas- High match, low reach
anything else?

I’d also look at UVA, Cornell (AEM), MIT, and throw an app. to Princeton Economics while you’re at it. Can’t hurt.

Median at Wharton is over 2250, Columbia about 2200, don’t know the others. Keep in mind that’s the overall median and includes the 40% of the class that are recruited athletes, URMs and legacies. Not to mention those from the Dakotas and other underrepresented places and others who meet institutional needs.

do i get extra percentage if my brothers in columbia?
or is it only parents, cause i heard that cu likes to “collect” siblings.

I don’t see why people are saying that you’d need to raise to get into Wharton, etc. I think you’re in all schools and Wharton if you do ED. I’m not sure about Columbia, however.

Chance me back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/652085-chances-following-schools-asian-pa-resident-first-gen-junior-hs.html

is that really so? I always thought that wharton students were all geniuses and whatnot.
what would be an approximate percentage of me getting in that cause thats definitely my dream school.

bump any other opinions

should i ed for stern or use it for something else?
cause i dont know if im a definite in for rd.

EDing Stern could be a smart strategy. It’s a school where ED is a definite boost.

what would be the chances of me getting in reg?

are my stats enough to get into stern reg?

you’re better off looking at the profiles of the people who got in. there’s a thread somewhere on cc about that. people who havent been accepted to these schools won’t be able to give you any helpful information but a superficial judgement

haha of course, i already did that but all of those people did early decision, so i dont really know where i stand for reg.

would i still get in stern reg with my gpa/sat? anyone?
